Professional activities

• Lada has provided legal assistance, inter alia, to the following clients: takeover of the minority shareholders’ of G4S Eesti AS, Mezzanine Management 16 million EUR investment in Aasa Global group, FashionTV Programmgesellschaft Mbh questions on corporate issues and intellectual ownership rights, Marfin Bank (Versobank) sale of the loan portfolio, Krediidipank (Coop Bank), VTB Bank, Sberbank of Russia, BlueOrange Bank AS, SNEL Grupp OÜ (Best Credit), Tagatisfond.
• Lada has participated in the legislation processes in EU and Estonia. Several amendment proposals were drafted to the Estonian AML act corresponding the EU IV AML Directive, opinion to the amendments of the MiFid and others.
• Lada is recognized expert in the field of FinTech and regulatory issues in banking and finance area.
• Lada has completed the course “Private and Venture Capital” at Tallinn University of Technology in cooperation with the Estonian Private and Venture Capital Association (EstVCA). Within the course, the important role of private and venture capital in capital markets was approached: 1) as a source of corporate finance, 2) as an alternative investment opportunity and asset class, and 3) as a tool for national growth and development, an also private and venture capital strategies, private equity funds’ structures, legal framework and operating principles.
• The international publication on overviews of the legal market “The Legal 500: Europe, Middle East & Africa“ has highly recognised Lada Riisna in the field of banking & finance (2017). In the 2023 and 2024 edition of “The Legal 500″, Lada Riisna was recognized as a leading legal advisor in the field of dispute resolution, and in addition, Lada was recognized in the field of real estate and construction law, classifying her as a next generation partner. It was also noted that Lada Riisna is an experienced practitioner in financial law disputes and has extensive experience in concluding real estate sales and financing agreements.
